Black and White and Color

Carrot Ranch Literary Community’s

February 1, 2018, prompt: In 99 words (no more, no less) write a story that features something black and white.

Last night, I watched Law & Order Special Victims Unit and was really moved by the farewell between Lieutenant Olivia Benson and Raúl, as a result of their legal working relationship that could also be called a friendship, in words of black and white and color to describe the change that occurred in their social and moral perspectives over time.  Of course, the whole episode was moving because Raúl acted by faith and compassion and with deep understanding of the law.  The jury didn’t reach a decision that was black and white either although Raúl wasn’t convicted of murder.
